PROVIDENCE, R.I. -

The Providence College women's cross country team will race at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, N.Y., on Friday, Nov. 14 at the NCAA Northeast Regional Championships. The race will begin at 12:00 p.m. The top-two finishing teams at the championships will earn automatic bids to the NCAA Championships in Terre Haute, Ind. on Saturday, Nov. 22.

Sophomore Catarina Rocha (Peabody, Mass.) will lead the way for the Friars. Rocha comes off of a second-place individual performance at the BIG EAST Championships two weeks ago (Oct. 31) and will look to continue her success.

Joining Rocha will be juniors Lauren Mullins (Binghamton, N.Y.), Katie Sischo (Jamesville, N.Y.) and Molly Keating (Rehoboth, Mass.).

The freshmen that will be racing over the 6km course will be Katie Lembo (Penfield, N.Y.), Brianna Ilarda (Perth, Australia) and Mackenzie Barry (Mendham, N.J.).
