Providence College Men's and Women's Cross Country Teams Ranked Nationally

    PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College men's and women's cross country teams are ranked among the top-25 in the nation according to the latest USTFCCCA Division 1 National Poll, released on October 21. The Friar women's team is ranked 24th in the nation with a total of 69 points. The men's team stands strong at 27th with 49 points.

    Oregon tops the men's poll with 352 points, followed by Stanford (332), Oklahoma St. (323), Portland (318), and Alabama (316). Washington remains as No. 1 in the women's poll with 360 points. The Oregon women remain second (347), followed by Florida State (334), Princeton (324), and West Virginia (311).

    The Providence men's and women's cross country teams return to action this weekend, Saturday October 25, 2008 when they compete at the Central Connecticutt Invitational in New Britain, Conn.
