PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Providence College women's cross country team (139 points) is ranked 20th in the latest NCAA FinishLynx National Poll, which was released on October 3. Duke (390 points) earned all 13 first-place votes to garner the No. 1 position. Michigan (348 points), Stanford (339 points), Brigham Young (342 points) and Illinois (328 points) round out the top five.

The Friars have not competed since September 24 when they finished seventh out of 31 teams at the Roy Griak Invitational in Falcon Heights, Minn. In that meet, senior All-American Fiona Crombie (Christchurch, New Zealand) paced the way for the Friars with an eighth-place finish.

The Friars will return to action on Saturday, October 15 at the Penn State Invitational at 10:45 a.m.
