    NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Providence College men's and women's cross country teams remain ranked in the top-30 teams in the nation for the second consecutive week. The regional poll was released Monday, Sept. 23., while the national poll was released Tuesday, Sept. 11.

    The women have now held the No. 1 ranking in both the national and northeast regional polls for three consecutive weeks. The men have earned their second week in the top-30 with a 25th ranking in the national and a third place ranking in the region.

    The Friars are back in action Friday, Sept. 27 when the two teams travel to Franklin Park, Mass. for the Boston College Invitational. Both the men and the women will take on ranked opponents as the meet will kick off the start of the qualifying period for the NCAA Championships.
