PROVIDENCE COLLEGE ADDS KEVIN MYLES TO TRACK AND CROSS COUNTRY PROGRAMS

PROVIDENCE, RI - Providence College Director of Cross Country and Track and Field Operations Ray Treacy announced today (August 30) that Kevin Myles has been named Head Men's Track Coach. He will also serve as the assistant coach for women's track and both men's and women's cross country. Myles has spent the last two years as the assistant cross country coach at Brown University.

A 2001 graduate of LaSalle University, Myles was a five year member of the Explorer's cross country and track programs. He earned All-Conference honors nine times, and All-District five times. In 1998, he was an individual qualifier for the NCAA Cross Country Championship. One year later, he helped LaSalle win the Atlantic 10 Cross Country title.

Myles also garnered academic honors. He was named Academic All-American in 1999, as well as the 2001 Atlantic 10 Indoor Track and Field Student-Athlete of the Year.

Myles will begin working with both the men's and women's cross country programs immediately.
