Providence College Women's Cross Country Ranked First In The Nation

    PROVIDENCE, R.I. -

    The Providence College women’s cross country team enters the 2013 season ranked first in the nation by Track and Field News magazine. The October 2013 edition compiled a list of predictions for the top ten teams and top ten individuals ahead of the 2013 cross country season.

    Track and Field News magazine also ranked senior Emily Sisson and sophomore Sarah Mary Collins as the fourth and eighth individuals in the nation respectively. Sisson placed fifteenth and Collins placed tenth at the 2012 NCAA Cross Country Championships.

    The women’s team finished second at the 2012 NCAA Championships, and will look to repeat that success. The women begin the 2013 season on Saturday, August 31 at the UNH Invitational in Durham, N.H.
