PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence College freshman Shelby Greany (Suffern, N.Y.) competed at the 2010 World Junior Cross Country Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland on Sunday, March 28. Greany placed 29th out of 95 competitors with a time of 20:35.

Greany, named Team Captain earlier in the week by her teammates, finished second among all Americans. Mercy Cherono of Kenya finished first overall in 18:47. Kenya took the top-four spots and six of the top-10.
