PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence College freshman Shelby Greany (Suffern, N.Y.) will compete with fellow Americans at the 2010 World Junior Cross Country Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland on Sunday, March 28. Greany has been named Team Captain by her teammates.

Greany earned her spot at the World Junior Championships after defeating all competitors in a time of 20:27 at the U.S. Junior Championships in Spokane, Wash. on February 13. Greany placed ninth at the BIG EAST Championships on October 31, 2009, finishing in a time 21:36.
