Women's Cross Country Finishes Second at Invitational
MINNEAPOLIS -- The fourth-ranked Providence College women's cross country team finished second of 18 schools at the Roy Griak Invitational at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minn., on Saturday, September 27.
Providence was led by junior Sarah Dupre of Kingston, Ontario who captured the individual title in a time of 17:05. Sophomore Dana Ostrander of Ballston Lake, N.Y. (10th - 17:40), freshman Rachel Hixson of Media, Pa. (16th - 17:48), junior Gladys Ganiel of Harrington, Maine (30th - 18:03) and freshman Katy Radkewich of Hudson, Ohio (38th 18:13) rounded out the scoring for the Lady Friars.
The Lady Friars return to action on Oct. 17 at the New England Championships at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass.
