Women's Cross Country Finishes 24th At Wisconsin Adidas Invitational

The Providence College women's cross country team finished 24th at the Wisconsin Adidas Invitational on Friday, Oct. 17 in Madison, Wis. Freshman Katie Lembo (Penfield, N.Y.) finished 49th overall and first for the Friars. Lembo finished the 6km course in a time of 20:42 and was the third freshman in the field to cross the line.

Just two seconds behind Lembo was sophomore Catarina Rocha (Peabody, Mass.). Rocha finished 52nd in a time of 20:44.

Junior Lauren Mullins (Binghamton, N.Y.) was the third Friar to cross the line. Mullins finished in a time of 21:19 for 114th-place.

The fourth and fifth Friars to finish at Wisconsin were freshman Mackenzie Barry (Mendham, N.J.) and junior Katie Sischo (Jamesville, N.Y.). Barry finished 172nd (21:48), while Sischo finished 200th (22:05).


 

 

Rounding out the top-six for Providence was senior Julie Solimine (Haverhill, Mass.). Solimine finished 241st with a time of 22:38.

Up next for the Friars is the CCSU mini meet in New Britain, Conn. on Friday, Oct. 24. Races are set to go off at 3:00 p.m.
