Nick Jackson is in his seventh season as part of the coaching staff of the cross country/track & field teams at Providence College. This will mark Jackson's second season as a volunteer coach as he was the head men's track and field coach and primary field events coach for PC's successful programs for five years.

A 1995 graduate of the College, Jackson assisted Program Director Ray Treacy during the cross country season, helping the women's cross country team to consecutive third-place finishes in 2003 and 2004, while the men's team finished in the top 24 at the NCAA's. Prior to working at Bishop Stang as the Head Boy's and Girl's Indoor and Outdoor Track Coach, Jackson worked in the Office of Admissions at PC for three years.

While a student at Providence from 1992 through 1995, Jackson competed for the Friar track and cross-country program, earning All-BIG EAST, All-New England and All-IC4A honors. He also won the 1,500 meters at the 1990 New Zealand Junior Championships.

Jackson was a member of the 1992 BIG EAST Conference Cross Country Championship team and was a member of the squad that finished third at the NCAA's. Jackson also was a member of two relay teams which established school records: the 4 x 1,500 which was set at the Penn Relays in 1993 and the Mile Relay which was set at a meet at UMass.

Jackson earned a master's degree in counseling from Providence College in May of 2002. He and his wife, Robyn, reside in Glocester with their three-year-old son, Quinn and their one-year-old daughter Amelia.
