    PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College volleyball team (12-18, 4-8 America East) will host UMBC (17-10, 6-4 America East) on Friday, Nov. 15 for a 7:00 p.m. match and Stony Brook (15-15, 8-4 America East) on Sunday, Nov. 17 for a 1:00 p.m. start in Alumni Hall. The Stony Brook game will be streamed live on CBS All-Access.

    Five Friars rank in the top-10 in the America East statistical categories. Freshman Michelle Cruz (Midland Park, N.J.) ranks second in digs per set (4.69). Cruz also ranks third in service aces (.42) with teammate, freshman Kayla Fitzgerald (Redlands, Calif.) ranking seventh (.30). Sophomore Lindsay Witt (Basking Ridge, N.J.) ranks third in hitting percentage (.288) and fifth in blocks per set (.90). Sophomore Jordan Wiesler (Coconut Creek, Fla.) ranks third with 9.65 assists per set. Junior Mackenzie Ziegler (Portage, Wis.) ranks sixth in kills per set (2.80) and Fitzgerald ranks seventh (2.69).

    Cruz, Wiesler and Witt have played in all 103 sets that Providence has played in this season.

    SCOUTING UMBC: As a team the Retrievers rank first in the conference in assists, kills and blocks. Mallory McIntyre ranks first in the conference in assists per set (10.13). Ali Goc has the team lead in kills with 2.69 per set and Casey Griffith has contributed 4.07 digs per set.

    SCOUTING STONY BROOK: The Seawolves rank first in the conference in service aces, (1.68 per set) just ahead of the Friars, who rank second (1.50). Kaitlin Costello (3.22 kills per set) and Hannah Dolan (0.42 service aces per set) rank first in the conference in their respective categories. Laura Hathaway leads Stony Brook in digs with 4.26 per set.
