Providence, R.I. - The Providence College volleyball team will travel to Newark, N.J. this weekend to compete in the NJIT Halloween Classic. The Friars take on NJIT on Friday, October 31 at 7:00 p.m. and face Bryant (10:00 a.m.) and Howard (2:00 p.m.) on Saturday, November 1. PC enters the tournament with a 13-13 record.

Last time out, Providence fell to Hartford, 3-0, on Wednesday, October 29. Pacing the PC defense was senior Kelly Krahenbuhl (Larkspur, Colo.). The 5-7 defensive specialist posted 22 digs in defeat and now has 366 on the year. On offense, senior Elizabeth Flynn (Bellerose, N.Y.) led all Friars with 11 kills, while senior Jeanette Toney (Brooklyn, N.Y.) added 10 kills, 6 digs and three blocks.

After the Halloween Classic, PC next plays at home on Saturday, November 8 at 1:00 p.m. against Quinnipiac. Prior to the match, the five seniors on the volleyball roster will be honored for their contributions to the program.
