Women's Volleyball Lose To DePaul, 3-0

CHICAGO, ILL. - The Providence College women's volleyball team was defeated by the DePaul Blue Demons in straight sets (25-16, 25-9, 25-23). The Friars drop to 10-13 (1-8 BIG EAST) and the Blue Demons improve to 13-8 (2-7 BIG EAST).

The Friars were led by freshman Allison Impellizeri (Seaford, N.Y.) who collected 10 kills. Megan Onyundo (Woodbridge, Va.) collected seven kills and six digs.

Assists were split between Catherine Harding (Kalamazoo, Mich.), with 12, and Jordan Wiesler (Coconut Creek, Fla.), with 13.

Defensively, the Friars were headed by Michelle Cruz (Midland Park, N.J.) who added seven digs.

Providence is back in action at 8:00 p.m. on Oct. 23 at Creighton in Omaha, Neb.
