The Providence College volleyball team will travel to Fairfield, Conn., to take on Sacred Heart on Tuesday, October 7 at 7:00 p.m. The Friars will look to move their winning streak to three matches against the Pioneers. PC enters the match with a 10-10 record, while Sacred Heart is 12-4. Friar fans can follow the match live by utilizing the GameTracker feature on Friars.com.

Providence posted a 2-1 record at the Cougar Invitational in Chicago, Ill., over the weekend. PC was defeated by SIU-Edwardsville, 3-0, on Friday, October 3, and beat Quinnipiac, 3-1, and Chicago State, 3-1, on Saturday, October 4. Senior Sara Sheehan (West Chester, Pa.) helped lead the Friars to a 2-0 record on Saturday, recording a season-high 47 assists against Quinnipiac and 42 against Chicago State.

Senior Jeanette Toney (Brooklyn, N.Y.) had a stellar week for Providence. On Wednesday, the 5-10 middle blocker posted her second consecutive double-double with 12 kills and 11 digs against Fairleigh Dickinson. Against Quinnipiac on Saturday, the 5-10 middle blocker recorded a season-high 22 kills and added seven digs and eight blocks. Toney leads Providence in blocks with 63 on the year. In the team's match against Chicago State, she posted 20 kills and a season-best .514 hitting percentage.

Tuesday's match marks the second time PC has faced Sacred Heart this season. The teams first met at the Friar Classic on September 19, with the Pioneers winning, 3-2. Sacred Heart is led by freshman Maile Hetherington (Thousand Oaks, Calif.). The 5-10 outside hitter ranks first on the team with 211 kills and is third in digs with 145.
