Providence Freshman Volleyball Player Impressive Early

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Freshman volleyball player Sarah Katinger (Stratford, CT) recorded an outstanding opening tournament for the Providence Colelge Friars. At the South Florida Invitational in Tampa, FL this weekend, Sarah Katinger recorded 42 kills which was second best on the squad.

In her first collegiate game, Katinger recorded a team high 11 kills on a team high 52 attempts vs Tennessee Tech. She also recorded 12 digs. Against Xavier, Katinger recorded 14 kills and a team high 18 digs. In the consolation game, Katinger reocrded a team high 17 kills, 27 digs and 3 service aces. She played in all 14 games for the Friars.

The Bunnell High athlete was a three-time all-state performer.
