PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Providence College women's volleyball Head Coach Margot Royer-Johnson announced that incoming freshman Emily Marzo (LaGrange Park, Ill) will compete for the Friars this coming season.
"Emily is a fundamentally sound player who will primarily play defense," Coach Royer-Johnson said. "Her passion for the game is undeniable. We are excited she is a Friar."
Marzo, a 5'9" outside hitter, played volleyball all four years and collected two varsity letters while attending Fenwick High School. Marzo captained her high school as a sophomore and has played for three different club teams including the Sports Performance Volleyball Club team for five years. A member of the National Honors Society in high school, Marzo will be entering Providence College as a Finance major.
