Providence Women's Volleyball Battles but Loses to Villanova
KINGSTON, R.I. - Providence College women's volleyball team pushed
Villanova in every game, but lost a hard fought match in three straight
games 14-16, 14-16, 13-15.
For Providence, Marisa Davidson dished out 13 kills to lead the charge, with
Elizabeth Jones and Stacy Evans hanging tough defensively with 14, and 13 digs
each. Setter, Stacey Moline contributed with 41 assists.
Providence's Sherryl Jones put in a game-high performance 18 kills and 18 digs.
Defensively, four players, including Jones had more than 10 digs each.
The loss brings Providence's record to an even 6-6, while Villanova improves to
5-4.
