    Providence Volleyball Falls to Pittsburgh, 3-1

    PITTSBURGH - The Providence College Volleyball squad lost to Pittsburgh, 3-1 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Scores were 15-5, 8-15, 13-15, 12-15.

    The Friars won the first game, 15-5 then fell short as Pittsburgh rallied in the second game registering a team hitting percentage of .346 while holding the Friars to a .000 hitting percent. Providence challenged the Panthers in game three, but came up short, 15-13. PIttsburgh registered a match-high 18 kills in game four as they held on for a 15-12 victory.

    Three friars recorded double-doubles including senior Heidi Brady, sophomore Colleen Lee and junior Sherryl Jones. Brady registered 12 kills and digs, Lee added 25 assists and 10 digs while Jones contributed with 14 kills and 13 digs.

    Providence falls to19-11 and 2-4 in the BIG EAST.
