Orem, Utah - The Providence College volleyball team lost its final match of the season, 3-0, to Cal-State Bakersfield on Saturday, November 22. CSUB won the match with game scores of 25-21, 25-21 and 25-19. With the loss, the Friars finish the National Independent Tournament 0-4 and end the year 15-20. The Roadrunners improve to 19-15.

Senior Jeanette Toney (Brooklyn, N.Y.) finishes her career with 454 games played, good for second all-time at PC. Senior Sara Sheehan (West Chester, Pa.) places third in PC history with 451.

Toney paced the Friar attack with 11 kills and added six digs, hitting at a .333 clip. Junior Abby Majewski (Sunderland, Mass.) contributed nine kills and three digs. Sheehan set up the Friars with 21 assists and finishes with 993 on the season.
