Orem, Utah - The Providence College volleyball team fell to Utah Valley State, 3-0 on Friday, November 16 in the Friars' second match of the Division I Independent Tournament in Orem, Utah. The Friars were defeated by the scores of 30-18, 30-21, and 30-16. With the loss, the Friars drop to 18-12 on the season.

Senior Sarah Fleming (Saint Paul, Minn.) led the Friar attack with eight kills, seven digs and four blocks. Junior Elizabeth Flynn (Bellerose, N.Y.) had six kills. Junior Jeanette Toney (Brooklyn, N.Y.) recorded three kills to go along with five blocks. Junior setter Sara Sheehan (West Chester, Pa.) recorded a 21 assists.

Providence will play one more match tomorrow, Saturday, November 17 at 3:00 p.m. ET.
