     VESTAL, N.Y. - The Providence College volleyball team fell on the road at Binghamton, 3-0 (25-18, 25-22, 25-18), on Saturday, Nov. 9. Providence's record now stands at 12-18 on the season and 4-8 in the America East, while Binghamton moves to 8-18 overall and 6-6 in the America East.
    

    Junior Colleen McCollom (Indian Head Park, Ill.) registered a team high four kills in the first set, but it was not enough as the Bearcats won the set 25-18. Freshman Michelle Cruz (Midland Park, N.J.) added six digs.

    Binghamton grabbed the second set 25-22. Freshman Kayla Fitzgerald (Redlands, Calif.) and junior Mackenzie Ziegler (Portage, Wis.) tallied three kills each in the set. Providence had a total of three blocks.

    The Friars fell in the third set 25-18. Fitzgerald and sophomore Lindsay Witt (Basking Ridge, N.J.) had four kills each. Cruz had a set-high eight digs.

    Fitzgerald led Providence with 10 kills in the match. Witt added eight kills and had a .615 hitting percentage. Sophomore Jordan Wiesler (Coconut Creek, Fla.) recorded 29 assists and Cruz had a match-best 18 digs.

    Binghamton was led by Grace Vickers who tallied 12 kills. Kristin Hovie and Megan Burgess also reach double-digit kills with ten each. Amanda Dettmann registered 39 assists and Xiomara Ortiz had a team-best 15 digs.

    The Friars return home to Alumni Hall for their last two regular season games of the 2013 season. Providence will play against UMBC on Friday, Nov. 15 at 7:00 p.m. and against Stony Brook on Sunday, Nov. 17 at 1:00 p.m.
