SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Providence College was defeated by Syracuse, 3-0 (30-10, 30-6, 30-8), in a BIG EAST volleyball match on Sunday, November 3 at the Women's Building in Syracuse, N.Y.

With the loss, the Friars fall to 2-25 on the season and 0-9 in BIG EAST action. Syracuse improves to 19-9 overall and 5-5 in conference matches.

Senior Sandy Fanning (E. Amherst, N.Y.) paced the Friars on defense with a match-high 10 digs.

The Friars return to action on Saturday, November 9 in a 2:00 p.m. match at Villanova.
