NOTRE DAME, IN - Providence College was defeated by Notre Dame, 3-0 (30-18, 30-17, 30-22), in BIG EAST volleyball action on Friday, November 1 at the Joyce Center in Notre Dame, IN.

With the loss, Providence drops to 2-24 on the season and 0-8 in BIG EAST matches. Notre Dame improves its record to 19-5 overall and 9-0 in conference play.

Sophomore Ayana Cadres (Los Angeles, Calif.) led the Friar offense with 14 kills on 33 attempts for a .242 hitting percentage. Senior Sandy Fanning (E. Amherst, N.Y.) led the Providence defense with 11 digs.

The Friars return to action on Sunday, November 3 at 1:00 p.m. when they face the Syracuse Orangewomen at Manley Field House in Syracuse, N.Y.
