Volleyball Takes Down New Hampshire In Five Sets

    DURHAM, N.H. - The Providence College volleyball team defeated America East foe New Hampshire, 3-2, on Sunday, October 30 in Durham, N.H. The Friars defeated the Wildcats, 29-31, 25-23, 31-29, 23-25 and 15-8.

    Lauren Fletcher and Lauren Hendel each recorded 20+ kills on the day. Fletcher tallied a team-best 22 kills, while Hendel registered a career day with 21 kills. Colleen McCollom and Shelagh Dolan finished the afternoon with 15 and 14 kills, respectively.

    In addition to a career-best performance by Hendel, Carly Morrison recorded a career-high 64 assists and Cassie Muzzonigro collected a career-high 32 digs.

    The Friars dropped the first set, 31-29, but powered back to win the second and third sets, 25-23 and 31-29. The Wildcats forced a fifth and deciding set with a 25-23 victory in the fourth, but the Friars dominated the fifth set, 15-8.

    Lauren Laquerre led UNH with 23 kills. Jasan Falcusan recorded 62 assists, while Amy Keding added a team-best 23 digs.
