PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College volleyball team was defeated by Notre Dame, 3-0, in a BIG EAST Conference volleyball match at PC's Alumni Hall on Sunday, October 28.

PC seniors Sarah Katinger (Stratford, Conn.) and Annie Cella (Burr Ridge, Ill.) each totalled 12 kills to pace the Friars (6-18 overall/0-10 BIG EAST) and freshman middle blocker Ayana Cadres (Los Angeles, Calif.) added 10 kills in the loss. Katinger added 16 defensive digs while Cella chipped in with 12 digs.

Notre Dame (14-5 overall/8-0 BIG EAST) got 10 kills and eight blocks from Malinda Goralski while Kim Fletcher and Jessica Kinder each added seven kills.

Providence completes its season with conference matches at Boston College (Nov. 9) and at Connecticut (Nov. 10).
