Providence, R.I. - The Providence College volleyball team saw its seven match winning streak snapped on Tuesday, October 24 with a 3-2 loss to Hartford. It was the second time this season the Hawks have defeated the Friars. With the loss, Providence drops to 14-14 while Hartford improves to 8-14.

Jeanette Toney (Brooklyn, N.Y.) was her usual self on Tuesday, registering a match-high 22 kills. Elizabeth Flynn (Bellerose, N.Y.) and Sarah Fleming (St. Paul, Minn.) each had a solid match with 13 and 12 kills, respectively. Sara Sheehan, who was named Independent Setter of the Week earlier on Tuesday, had a match-high 53 assists.

The Friars will conclude their season on Wednesday, November 1 at 7:00 p.m. The game will be covered by Cox Sports Television.
