Smithfield, R.I. - The Providence College volleyball team fell to Bryant, 3-2, on Tuesday, October 21 in Smithfield, R.I. The Bulldogs won the match with game scores of 25-22, 25-23, 18-25, 23-25 and 15-10. With the victory, Bryant improves to 14-13 while Providence drops to 12-12. Senior Jeanette Toney (Brooklyn, N.Y.) had another strong outing, posting a double-double with 14 kills and 13 digs. The 5-10 middle blocker also registered eight total blocks. Senior Elizabeth Flynn (Bellerose, N.Y.) continues to hit at an incredible pace for the Friars. Flynn posted 15 kills against Bryant and recorded a .600 hitting percentage, improving on her nationally-ranked numbers. Defensively, senior Kelly Krahenbuhl (Larkspur, Colo.) paced Providence with 23 digs. The Friars are back in action on Saturday, October 25 with a 4:00 p.m. home match against Chicago State.
