PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College volleyball team won its fourth straight match on Wednesday, October 18 with a 3-0 sweep of Quinnipiac. Providence won the games 30-20, 30-23, 30-27 and improves to 11-13 on the season. The Friars also defeated the Bobcats, 3-0 last Wednesday in Hamden, Conn.

In the 3-0 victory, in which the Friars never trailed, sophomore Jeanette Toney (Brooklyn, N.Y.) had a a game-high 18 kills to go along with four blocks. Pitching in were sophomore Aida Cadres (Los Angeles, Calif.) and junior Sarah Fleming (St. Paul, Minn.) who had eight and six kills, respectively. Sophomore setter Sara Sheehan (West Chester, Pa.) had a game-high 34 assists, 11 digs and five service aces.

The Friars return to action this weekend with three matches at the Hornet Invitational in Dover, Del. PC will play Delaware State, Winston-Salem State, and NJIT.
