JAMAICA, N.Y. -- The Providence College volleyball team was defeated in three games by St. John's in a BIG EAST Conference match at Jamaica, N.Y.

Freshman middle blocker Ayana Cadres (Los Angeles, Calif.) led PC will eight kills and added a solo block. Senior Annie Cella (Burr Ridge, Ill.) added seven kills and 13 digs and her classmate, Sarah Katinger (Stratford, Conn.) had six kills and nine digs in the three-game defeat.

The Friars return to action on Saturday, October 6 when they play at Seton Hall University in a 1:00 p.m. match.
