Volleyball Defeats Holy Cross, 3-2, To Win Third Match Of Season

WORCESTER, MASS. -- The Providence College women's volleyball team defeated Holy Cross by winning three of the five games played to earn their third match victory of the season at the Hart Center in Worcester, Mass. Freshman Ayana Cadres (Los Angeles, Calif.) led all players with a career-high 26 kills in the win. Cadres his .538 overall in the match and added one service ace, three digs and two blocks. Senior outside hitter Sarah Katinger (Stratford, Conn.) added 20 kills and 18 digs for the Friars in the win. The Friars (3-11 overall) won game one, 30-25, lost game two, 30-22, won game three, 30-21, lost game four, 35-33, and won the final, fifth game, 20-18.
PC travels to St. John's on Friday, October 5 for a 7:30 p.m. match and then will face Seton Hall on Saturday, October 6 at 1:00 p.m.
