Final Stats

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Providence College women's volleyball team was defeated in three games by Rutgers, 30-19, 30-28 and 31-29, in a BIG EAST Conference match at Providence, R.I.

Dawn Christjaener led all players with 18 kills in the three-game victory. Providence's senior outside hitters Annie Cella (Burr Ridge, Ill.) and Sarah Katinger (Stratford, Conn.) led the Friars with 15 and 12 kills for Providence in the loss. Katinger added 15 digs and Cella totalled 11 digs.

The Friars return to action on Sunday, September 30 when they host Villanova at 2:00 p.m. in Providence.
