Volleyball Falls To Binghamton

    BINGHAMTON, N.Y. --The Providence College volleyball team (1-18, 0-2) was swept by Binghamton University (5-12, 2-0) 25-14, 25-17 and 25-19 on Friday, September 28 in Binghamton, N.Y.

    Sophomore Colleen McCollom (Indian Head Park, Ill.) led the team with 10 kills, while freshman Jordan Wiesler (Coconut Creek, Fla.) collected 20 of the team's 21 assists. Senior Cassie Muzzonigro (Gibsonia, Pa.) had a game-high 11 digs.

    The Friars will then go down Baltimore, Md. to face UMBC at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 30.

    Providence will play its first match at home this season on Sunday, October 7 versus America East foe Stony Brook. This match will mark the first athletic event played in the renovated Mullaney Gymnasium in Alumni Hall.
