Durham, N.C. - The Providence College volleyball team was defeated by North Carolina Central, 3-0 by the scores of 30-23, 30-20, and 30-19. With the loss, the Friars drop to 10-7 on the season. Senior Kasey Adinolfi (Branford, Conn.) led the Friars with a career-high 18 digs.

The Friars struggled offensively, registering just 19 kills with a .103 hitting percentage. Junior Elizabeth Flynn (Bellerose, N.Y.) led Providence with five kills snapping her consecutive match streak with double-figure kills at 15.

Providence wraps up its road trip home on Saturday, September 29 with two matches in the North Carolina Central Tournament against Savannah State and North Carolina A & T.
