Kingston, R.I. -- The Providence College Volleyball team dropped a 3-2 decison at the University of Rhode Island (13-15, 15-9, 15-10, 11-15, 14-16), on Tuesday, September 19.

Junior Annie Cella (Burr Ridge, Ill.) led PC with her 24 kills and 21 digs, while junior Sarah Katinger (Stratford, Conn.) contributed 22 kills and 12 digs. Sophomore Susan Fanning (E. Amherst, N.Y.) had 69 assists for PC.

Providence is now 8-5 overall and returns to action on Friday and Saturday, September 22-23, when they participate in the Harvard Invitational.
