Friars Defeated In Final Match At Southwest Texas B&G Properties Invitational

SAN MARCOS, TEXAS -- The Providence College volleyball team was defeated in their final match at the 2001 Southwest Texas St. B&G Properties Invitational against the tournament's host team in three games. PC senior outside hitter Annie Cella (Burr Ridge, Ill.) led PC with 15 kills and 16 digs in the 3-0 loss to the Bobcats. Cella was the only member of the Friars (1-6) to be named to the all-tournament team.
