ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Providence College volleyball team dropped a pair of matchesFriday night to the U.S. Naval Academy and Youngstown State. PC (2-3) was defeated 3-0 by USNA(2-4) 30-19, 30-27, 30-27. Youngstown State(4-5) also defeated Providence College 3-0 by the scores 30-24, 30-23, 30-21.

Sophomore Jeanette Toney (Brooklyn, N.Y.) led the Friars against USNA with 10 kills. Sophomore Sara Sheehan (West Chester, Pa.) had 20 assists. In match two, junior Sarah Fleming (Saint Paul, Minn.) had a team high 10 kills. Sheehan added 30 assists for a total of 50 in six games.

Providence will play two matches on Saturday, September 9 at Loyola Md.
