Providence, R.I. -- The Providence College Volleyball team swept Central Connecticut State University, 3-0 (15-4, 15-4, 15-12) on Tuesday, September 5.

The Friars were led by junior Sarah Katinger (Stratford, Conn.), who registered 21 digs and 11 kills, and junior Annie Cella (Burr Ridge, Ill.), who posted 16 digs and 10 kills. Sophomore Susan Fanning (East Amherst, N.Y.) recorded 32 assists for PC.

The Blue Devils were paced by sophomore Jackie Fernandez, who had six kills, and junior Sarah Haase, who tallied 17 digs.

Providence is now 4-0 overall and returns to action on Friday, September 8 and Saturday, September 9, when they particpate in the Liberty University Invitational.
