Hampton, Va. -

The Providence College volleyball team fell to South Dakota, 3-0, in the team's final match of the Tiny Laster Memorial Tournament in Hampton, Va. The Coyotes won the match with game scores of 25-15, 25-23 and 25-20. The Friars finish the tournament with a record of 2-2, while South Dakota moves to 4-0.

Senior co-captain Kelly Krahenbuhl (Larkspur, Colo.) paced Providence with a season-high 18 digs and now has 50 on the year. Seniors Elizabeth Flynn (Bellerose, N.Y.) and Jeanette Toney (Brooklyn, N.Y.) led the Friar attack with nine kills each. Hitting at an impressive .556 clip, senior Aida Cadres (Los Angeles, Calif.) contributed five kills and added six digs. Senior Sara Sheehan (West Chester, Pa.) chipped in 26 assists.

The Friars make their home debut Wednesday, September 3rd at 7:00 p.m. with a match against Holy Cross in Mullaney Gymnasium.
