The Providence volleyball team fell to Austin Peay, 3-1, in their final match at the Billiken Invitational hosted by St. Louis University. The Friars drop to 0-3 on the season with the loss.

Austin Peay won the first two games of the match, 30-21 and 30-18. The Friars rallied to take game three, 33-31, but could not sustain the momentum, falling in the fourth game, 30-10.

Sophomore Ayana Cadres (Los Angeles, Ca.) had a match-high 19 kills and three digs. Senior Sandy Fanning (E. Amherst, N.Y.) notched a match-high 22 digs and 11 kills.

The Friars return to action on Friday, September 6 at Stony Brook at 7:00 p.m.
