Sophomore Ayana Cadres (Los Angeles, Calif.) and freshman Katie Fleming led the volleyball team with seven kills as the Friars were defeated by Butler, 3-0, in the 2002 Billiken Invitational at St. Louis University.

The Friars fell in the match by scores of 18-30, 18-30, and 10-30. With the loss, the team moves to 0-2 on the season.

Fleming also led the Friars with six digs. Senior Sandy Fanning (E. Amherst, N.Y.) had five digs in the match.

The Friars return to action tonight at 7:00 p.m. for their final match of the Billiken Invtational, versus Austin Peay.
