Ten Friar Volleyball Players Named to America East Fall Honor Roll

Five Friars earned the Commissioner's Honor Roll by obtaining a 3.50 grade point average or higher.


Lauren Fletcher Named To America East Volleyball All-Academic Team

Fletcher is one of seven America East volleyball student-athletes selected to the team.

At Providence - As a Senior: Named First Team All-America East...Finished second in the league in hitting percentage (.326), blocks per set (1.08) and points per set (4.23) and third in the league in kills per set (3.47)...Named to La Salle Invitational All-Tournament Team, Dartmouth Invitational All-Tournament Team and Eighth Annual Friar Classic All-Tournament Team...Named America East Player of the Week on September 19 after recording 17 kills, committing no errors, and maintaining a .607 hitting percentage against Delaware State and 16 kills against Central Connecticut State the same day...Became the ninth player to record 1,000 kills on Sept. 17...Ranks third all-time for the Friars in career hitting percentage (.292) and is tied for third all-time in career blocks (397)...Led the Friars in kills (385) and blocks (120)...Started in every match (30) and played in every set (111)...Tied a career-high with 28 kills against Hartford on Oct. 2 while collecting a season-high 13 blocks...Had double digit kills in 20-of-30 matches... Named to America East Volleyball All-Academic Team...Named to America East Fall Honor Roll.
