PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence College graduate student Aine Hoban (Wakefield, England) and junior Max Smith (Dunedin, New Zealand) each earned All-America honors in outdoor track. The announcement was made by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association on Tuesday, June 12. Hoban earned the honor in the 10,000 meter run, while Smith captured All-America status for the second-straight year in the 1,500 meters.

Hoban finished third at the NCAA Outdoor Track Championships in the 10,000 meters with a time of 33:04. The top-eight runners in each event at the NCAAs are named All-Americans. Smith placed sixth in the 1,500 meter final at the NCAA Outdoor Track Championships in a time of 3:39.93, which marked a personal best time. In 2006, Smith earned All-America honors in the 1,500 meters by finishing third at the NCAAs in a time of 3:44.42.
