SACRAMENTO, CALIF. - Providence College sophomore track athlete Danette Doetzel (Macklin, Sask.) finished 12th in the 5,000 meter final at the NCAA Track and Field Championships in Sacramento, Calif. on Friday, June 8.

Doetzel completed the 5,000 meter event in a time of 16:27.67. On the men's side, junior Max Smith (Dunedin, New Zealand) will compete in the final day of competition (Saturday, June 9) in the 1,500 meter final. That event is scheduled to begin at 11:10 a.m. (PT).
