Mens' and Women's Track Competes At IC4A/ECAC Championships on Friday

    PRINCETON, N.J. - The Providence College Men's and Women's Track Teams competed at the IC4A and ECAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Friday, May 16 at the William Weaver Track and Field Stadium in Princeton, N.J.

    Freshman Catarina Rocha (Peabody, Mass.) led women's team in the 5,000 meters as she finished fifth in a personal best time of 16:25.52. Also in the 5,000, PC graduate student Sam Roecker (Charlton, N.Y.) placed 22nd (16:57.99) and sophomore Lauren Mullins (Binghamton, N.Y.) was 26th (17:01.75).

    In the women's 3,000 meter steeplechase, freshman Keelin Hollowood (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) was 12th in a time of 10:50.89.

    On the men's side, junior Liam Hillery (Smithfield, R.I.) placed fifth in the IC4A 5,000 meter race in a time of 14:24.39.

    On Saturday, sophomore Molly Keating (Rehoboth, Mass.) will be the final Friar to compete as she will run the ECAC 800 meters.
