PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Sophomore Sarah Mary Collins (Basel, Switzerland) and senior Laura Nagel (Napier, New Zealand) of the Providence College women's track and field team were named to the All-BIG EAST Team today (May 14) following their performances at the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships (May 10-11). Collins and Nagel were two of 137 student athletes to be named to the All-BIG EAST Teams (71 women, 66 men).
Collins captured the BIG EAST 10,000 meter run title with an ECAC Championship qualifying time of 33:36.36. It marked her first BIG EAST individual title.
Nagel defended her 5000 meter title with an ECAC Championship qualifying time of 16:23.35. It marked her third BIG EAST Championship title.
The Friars return to action on May 16 when they begin competition at the ECAC Championships in Princeton, N.J.
