The Providence College men's outdoor track team competed on the final day of the Penn Relays on April 28. The men's 4x800 team finished fifteenth out of 33 teams in a time of 7:44.46.

The 4x800 team was comprised of junior James Lourenco (West Warwick, R.I.), sophomore Nick Berluti (Westwood, Mass.), sophomore Charles Dewey (Worcester, Mass.), and junior Mike Blanchard (Galesferry, N.Y.). Also on Saturday, the 4xmile Championship of America team did not finish the race.

On Friday, April 27, the distance medley team comprised of freshman Hayden McLaren (Christchurch, New Zealand) (3:01.9), sophomore Charles Dewey (Worcester, Mass.) (49.0), junior James Lourenco (West Warwick, R.I.) (1:53.9), and junior Max Smith (Dunedin, New Zealand) (3:55.4) finished in fifth place in a time of 9:40.19.

On Thursday, April 26 freshman Tom Webb (Barrington, R.I.) placed seventeenth in the 3,000 meter steeplechase in 9:41.44. Sophomore Richard Yeates (Dublin, Ireland) placed twenty-first in the 5,000 meters at a time of 14:22.24. Junior Ahmed Haji (West Hartford, Conn.) finished the 5,000 meters twenty-sixth in 14:38.45.

Graduate student Aine Hoban (Wakefield, England) captured the 5,000 meters in a time of 16:07.01. Senior Meghan Owen (Danielson, Conn.) placed sixth in the 3,000 meters in a time of 9:42.67.

Both teams will be back in action on Sunday, April 29 at the Brown Invitational.
