PROVIDENCE, R.I. -
The Providence College men’s and women’s indoor track teams are set to compete at the URI Coaches Tribute Invitational in Kingston, R.I. on Saturday, Feb. 2. This is the second meet of the year that the Friars will compete in on URI’s campus. The all-day event is scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m.
The women’s team will be competing in many of the shorter track races at the meet after qualifying many of the distance runners at the Terrier Invitational last week. Senior Christina Lavigne (Shelton, Conn.) will also be competing in the triple jump for the first time this season.
The men’s team will also be competing in many of the sprints, while junior Patrick Bowler (Westwood, Mass.) will be making his first appearance of the season in the shot put.
