Nagel and Collins Run The Women's 5,000 Meters At The NCAA Championship

EUGENE, Ore. - Providence College Senior Laura Nagel (Napier, New Zealand) and sophomore Sara Mary Collins (Basel, Switzerland) competed in the 5,000 meters at the NCAA Outdoor Track Championship on Saturday, June 14 in Eugene, Oregon.

Nagel finished 11th in a time of 16:09.98 and Collins placed 16th in a time of 16:25.97. Both women earned Second Team All-America honors. For Nagel, it marked her 5th All-America honor, including her second in the Outdoor 5,000 meters. Collins earned her third All-America accolade and first in track.

With Nagel and Collins running the 5,000 meters, it wraps up the season for the for the Friar women's track team.
