VILLANOVA, Pa. -- Providence College senior Marie McMahon (Ennistymon, Ireland) captured the 5,000 and 3,000 meter titles at the BIG EAST Outdoor Track Championship on May 2-3 and led the Friars to a 10th-place finish with 38 points. She captured the 3,000 on Saturday, May 2 in a time of 9:15.80. For McMahon, it marked her first BIG EAST Outdoor 3,000 title and her second Outdoor 5,000 meter title.
Also in the 5,000 meters, PC junior Sarah Dupre (Kingston, Ontario) placed second (16:40.40) and earned All-BIG EAST honors.
